Tips for Winter

1. Cut back all of the trees and shrubs that have got a bit out of hand
2. Remove all leaves from the garden, particularly off lawns
3. Remove all dead growth from the vegetable patch
4. Cut back any fruited stems
5. Apply generous amounts of manure if you have heavy soil
6. It's the perfect time for planting deciduous trees / shrubs
7. Plant roses in full sun in a clay soil
8. Cover plants that have buds and open flowers
9. Add mulch
10. Bring in Houseplants
